This class provides a beginner's introduction to book arts with guided instructions to make a basic book: a Japanese stab journal. The stab journal is a perfect gift or flipbook for grocery lists, holiday errands, or even autumnal poetic musings. There will be a variety of book covers to choose from, including eco-printed paper using sustainably sourced materials from the Baltimore area. No previous experience required. Bookmaking includes sewing, hole-punching using a sharp awl, and some careful measuring skills.
