"Meet the Members" Art Show & Skills Showcase
Meet the Members
Spend the day immersed in the Arteasy community.
We are excited to launch our first member-run art show & skills showcase on Saturday, November 8, 2025!
Join our introduction to the incredible talent of our artist members! Step into our cozy studio and see our shop room transformed into a gallery room, drawing your attention to a display of artwork across various mediums & subject matter. There will be art both for display only (not for sale), and for purchase!

Alongside the display of completed works, members and staff will be hosting a series of workshops in the studio room - a skills sharing showcase. We don't want cost to be a barrier to participation, and will have sliding scale suggested contributions for each workshop session! Contribute what you can.
Registration Instructions
Register to attend the art show! Please register via the 'Register' button above right to select an approximate time window that you will join us. This is not a strict time block - just our attempt to manage traffic flow and get an estimate of attendance so we can provide enough snacks and beverages!
If you can't make it on Saturday, we will still have the show set up on Sunday the 9th during our open studio hours, 10am-2pm! Drop on by, no registration required.
Register to participate in one of the skills showcase workshops! View the schedule of workshops below and sign up via the individual links within each workshop. Registrations are non refundable, but you are welcome to find someone to attend in your place if you have a last minute conflict!
Workshops
When: 10am - 10:45am
Instructor: Ellie Flock
Description: This class provides a beginner's introduction to book arts with guided instructions to make a basic book: a Japanese stab journal. The stab journal is a perfect gift or flipbook for grocery lists, holiday errands, or even autumnal poetic musings. There will be a variety of book covers to choose from, including ecoprinted paper using sustainably sourced materials from the Baltimore area. No previous experience required. Bookmaking includes sewing, hole-punching using a sharp awl, and some careful measuring skills.
Suggested Age Range: 10+ (parental support required for younger ages)
Suggested Contribution: $10-$25
When: 11am-12:30pm
Instructor: Ann Marie Hensel
Description: Dive into the world of clay sculpting, and create a wall hanging showcasing a face of your own creation. It can be humanoid, fantastical, realistic, abstract, etc.! Ann Marie will prepare clay slabs draped over a series of forms that will be your 'base shape' -- some cubical, rectangular, spherical, ovular -- this base will be your 'blank canvas', and then you will add the facial features and details.

Suggested Contribution: $15-$40
When: 12:45 - 2:15pm
