This event is our take on a "Salon Hang" -- remixed to fit our growing artist community.
What is a Salon Hang? Well, it's based on a tradition that originated in France when the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture, founded in 1648 under the aegis of Louis XIV, began organizing an annual exhibition in 1667 (for more on the history, read this).
In modern day, this has evolved to be a bit less pretentious, and serves as a gathering of artists, who bring a piece of work to a social event, to socialize, free creative blocks, loosen up and just be.
For us, merely six months into forming our small but mighty community of artist members, this salon will be about connecting with each other, connecting with our community members of all ages and walks of life, and continuing to bring meaningful moments into the walls of our new studio. We invite you to join this celebration, with the intention of just being part of the art of creating. The $10 entry fee will be set aside to be used towards a member-voted project/equipment/supply.
There's no judgement, no critique, Art just simply Is.

Open Studio
From 10am-12pm, our (true french salon-style) gallery room will be open for typical open studio activities!
Your entrance fee can be used towards the cost of glazing one of our pre-made ceramics or purchasing a craft pass! Learn more about our open studio offerings here.
We only have 8 seats in the front room for ceramics and crafting! Please send us an email or DM if you'd like to reserve one.
Artist Demos and "Try It!" Stations
From 12pm - 5pm, we will have six of our members bring their art along with them, and set up a workstation in the back room, that invites you to join the conversation!
The details and timings of the member work-station assignment will be released via Instagram!
Some of our member artists also have pieces for sale up front! Your $10 registration for this event can be utilized towards shop purchases of member artist works!
Conversation and Networking
Weaved throughout the entire event, is a steady thread of community engagement.
The vision is we are all taking a break from our day, and discussing the most recent project we are working on, an upcoming event we are excited about - and leave feeling a little more inspired than you entered.
We will stick around 'til 6pm! & then we hope to see you in the studio again soon.
