Well\, it's based on a t radition that originated in France when the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture\, founded in 1648 under the aegis of Louis XIV\, began organizin g an annual exhibition in 1667 (for more on the history\, read this). In m odern day\, this has evolved to be a bit less pretentious\, and serves as a gathering of artists\, who bring a piece of work to a social event\, to socialize\, free creative blocks\, loosen up and just be. For us\, merely six months into forming our small but mighty community of artist members\, this salon will be about connecting with each other\, connecting with our community members of all ages and walks of life\, and continuing to bring meaningful moments into the walls of our new studio. We invite you to joi n this celebration\, with the intention of just being part of the art of c reating. The $10 entry fee will be set aside to be used towards a member-v oted project/equipment/supply. There's no judgement\, no critique\, Art ju st simply Is. What to Expect? Here's our plan for the day!
