Poetry in Pieces | A Teen Poetry & Art Book Collage Workshop (Sept 28)

Calling all creative teens! Ages 12+

What's the relationship between visual art and the literary arts? This workshop dives into the creative space where poetry and visual art collide. Using examples like Emily Dickinson’s Envelope Poems and the imaginative Griffin & Sabine: An Extraordinary Correspondence, we’ll explore how words and images inspire each other through collage and book arts. Teens are asked to bring their favorite line(s) of poetry—or even a song lyric—to use as the starting point for their own unique mixed-media piece. Together, we’ll play with how our minds picture the words we love—and turn those visions into art you can hold in your hands.
