Sunday, November 23 | 2:30- 4:30 PM

This class provides a beginner's introduction to book arts with guided instructions to make two basic books: a Japanese stab journal and a simple saddle stitch journal.

These are perfect for fall- use the saddle stitch journal to keep track of your favorite chilly weather and holiday recipes, and the stab journal is a perfect gift or flipbook for grocery lists.

There will be a variety of book covers to choose from, including ecoprinted paper using sustainably sourced materials from the Baltimore area.

No previous experience required, and you will walk away with two personal, hand-made journals, which are perfect for capturing your own tasty creations or to give as a gift.

Bookmaking includes sewing, hole-punching using a sharp awl, and some careful measuring skills. Space in the classroom is limited to registered participants. The cost of the workshop includes all provided materials and hands-on instruction.
