Working closely with the school administration, Arteasy is offering an after school program for Fed Hill Prep students!
Our after school program will include two instructors who are very experienced with early education and arts instruction, and trusted studio staff. You may recognize them from our school's out camp! Our instructors will be at the school no later than 3:15 pm each week on Wednesdays, to meet the kids. The school will dismiss the enrolled students to our instructors just before the larger dismissal, so that we can focus on our head count, attendance list, and begin the walk all before 3:30!
We will walk the 10 minutes to the studio, heading down Williams street until we meet E Fort Street. We will turn right on E Fort St, and then left onto Light street to cross E Fort Street at the crosswalk. We will walk one block down Light St and then we will have arrived at the studio entrance!
Kids will split into two age groups for the session, and we will cater the instruction, art history, and activities to the age groups and student's interests as we get to know them better throughout the session.
Our instructors will focus on experiential learning, sneaking in some art history and fundamentals of art - balancing playful fun with hands on learning, always encouraging creativity, independent decision making, and respect for our fellow artists.
Students will be ready for pick up from the studio, located at 1539 Light St, between 4:45-5pm each week.
