Or, Book Now!
The Vision
Regular, unstructured studio drop-in hours, where our space, supplies, and equipment are available for your use. Spend your morning, afternoon, or evening in our cozy space, working on your on your projects, at your pace. Take a break from the ‘real world’ and immerse yourself in the art studio - it is truly a magical space where anything is possible.
The Audience
Literally everyone! Here's some suggested 'vibe setting' for the various time blocks in our introductory schedule. These are merely suggestions at this point, we will adjust these based on people's feedback & requests, so please tell us what you think! The idea behind the vibe settings is that we want this space to work for people at all life-stages, but recognize it doesn't always work in the same space at the same time.
- Wednesday Afternoons: 4pm - 8pm
- Post-School Shenanigans (kids encouraged!): 4pm - 6pm
- Wind-down Wednesdays (adults encouraged for a calm, relaxing, restorative evening - happy hump day!): 6pm - 8pm
- Thursday Evenings: 5pm - 9pm
- Teen Time (you can even control the playlist): 5-7pm
- Respiratory Health Conscious Creativity (Adults, Masks Strongly Encouraged! We will have some if you forget yours): 7pm - 9pm
- Friday Afternoons: 3pm - 7pm
- Post-School Shenanigans (kids encouraged!): 3pm - 5pm
- It's the f-in' weekend! (adults, Social Hour!): 5-7pm
- Saturday Afternoons: 12pm - 5pm
- Create in Chaos (Younger kids strongly encouraged, open play, giant canvases, make messes, be spontaneous): 12-2pm
- Chill Saturday Afternoon (all ages encouraged, calmer vibes): 2pm - 5pm
- Sunday Morning/Afternoon: 10am - 2pm
- Meditative Sundays (calm vibes, all ages welcome): 12am - 2pm
Again - these are ideas/suggestions. If you want to come during a time that advertised for kids, and you are an adult without children - please do! But please don't be upset if there are loud children. If you want to come to one of the calmer times with your kids, please try and keep them to a respectful volume and conscious of others' space. We also will likely not be as cautious with music choices during adult-centric times. We will trial these 'vibes' for the first month, and adjust if we see that some are not really resonating - so please give us feedback!
The Costs
Provisional Costs are structured as a baseline fee for the first hour, then an additional hourly charge for subsequent hours. We want the costing model to be simple, and affordable. More details on the different activities are included after the cost details. Let us know if you have suggestions!
Standard Craft Pass: $10/person for the first hour, $5/person for subsequent hours! (1 hour = $10, 2 hours = $15, 3 hours = $20, etc.)
Specialty Passes (Pottery Wheel, Sewing Machine, Cameo Silhouette, and Extra Space): $15/person for the first hour, $5/person for subsequent hours! (1 hour = $15, 2 hours = $20, 3 hours = $25, etc.)
Family Craft Pass: $25/family unit (3-5 total) for the first hour, $12/family unit for subsequent hours! (1 hour = $25, 2 hours = $37, 3 hours = $49, etc.) This is meant for parent(s) and their kids, that all reside under the same roof, not a group of friends!
Coming Soon: Monthly passes with a standard set of hours (i.e., 20 hours / month) - save on hourly fees! We need to solidify shop hours before we feel ready to do this, but it's coming!
The Activities
CRAFT!
Our Standard Craft Pass Seat includes access to ALL of our basic craft supplies! This includes things like scissors, paper, ribbon, yarn, pencils, crayons, markers, paints*, pipe cleaners, pom poms, buttons, popsicle sticks, beads, glue, tape, stickers, and more!
*Canvases sold separately. But with the craft pass, you can use paints on paper/cardboard/etc., to your heart's content! Clay also sold separately but available for hand-building projects! Keep reading for info on the pottery wheel.
CRAFT! WITH EXTRA SPACE
The standard craft pass gives you a chair and the table space with your chair - if you want to ensure that you have some extra elbow room and that your neighbor is not sharing your table space, book the Spacious Craft Pass Seat, only an additional $5 up front! Ideal for if you are coming on your own, and like to have extra working space when creating.
THROW SOME POTS!
We have a well used pottery wheel (just one!) ready for you to explore the art of clay on your own time, self-guided. We won't provide instruction on the wheel - it is here for you to use for your own exploration with the craft. Maybe you've taken a throwing class before, watched some YouTube videos, or are a pro but don't have space for a wheel in your home. We've got you covered! We will have a small kiln in the studio, so there are some restrictions for the size of clay pieces that we can fire. Standard sized pots/bowls/mugs will fit no problem. We've also got a large selection of glazes! Clay will be sold separately and priced to include the cost of glazes and firings. If you want to do clay hand-building work - just book a craft pass (with extra space if solo)!!
SEW!
We have a sewing machine! Similar to the pottery wheel, this is meant to be available for your use, but you should already know how to sew. We will require you to thread your own needle and bobbin as a sort of aptitude checkpoint :). We don't have a ton of threads or fabric in the studio at this point, so we welcome you to bring your own supplies! If there is interest, we can begin to stock more supplies, depending on the demand.
VINYL CUTTING AND MORE!
We have an old Cameo Silhouette cutter, but have just replaced the blade, and have been using it to make stencils - but there are so many things you can do with this machine! We are not pros, so we definitely don't have the skills to teach you, but welcome you to hone your skillset and maybe even teach us a trick or two! We don't have a dedicated computer for this machine yet, so you will have to bring your own laptop with the cameo software installed (there's a free version!). Booking Logistics
We encourage you to make reservations, so we can save seats for you! But we also encourage drop-ins. If you plan to drop in, make sure to check our Instagram page for any last-minute cancellations or adjusted studio hours. For example, if there are no bookings, and the weather is crappy, we may decide to cancel. So please do make a reservation if you plan ahead of time, so that we can make sure to be prepared and ready to greet you!
Feel free to send us an email, IG message, or even a text if you have any questions or just want to verify your booking! Our new text number is 410-205-5488.
We have the following 'seats' available for booking each hour:
- 8 Standard Craft Pass Seats
- 4 Spacious Craft Pass Seats
- 1 Sewing Seat
- 1 Pottery Wheel Seat
- 1 Cameo Silhouette Seat
Here are the steps to make your booking:
- Choose Session Length! One, two or 3 hours? (you can always stay longer if we aren't fully booked, if you're having so much fun and don't want to leave). If you want more than 3 hours, you will have to string together multiple reservations.
- Choose your Date! From the calendar.
- What Activity do you Want to Reserve? Standard craft pass, spacious craft pass, sewing, pottery, or cameo silhouette. Please note, the minimum duration for a pottery wheel booking is 2 hours, it's not a quick in-and-out activity :).
- How Many People? Please note that if you are selecting pottery wheel/sewing/cameo silhouette you can only reserve for one person. If you want to share the machine, that's totally fine, you will just have to go back and add a standard 'craft pass' booking as well as your reservation for the machine.
- What time? times will appear once you select the date, seat-type, and number of people. Choose your start time, and then the end time will be based on whether you booked a 1, 2, or 3 hour session!
